4th 85fsThe success of Independence Day presented by Bank of America is due largely to the amazing team of volunteers who volunteer their time to ensure that the event goes off without a hitch. 2016 Volunteer Training Sessions

All Independence Day volunteers must attend one of the following training sessions, approx. 45min. Both trainings take place at the Artillery Barracks Building located 600 Hatheway Rd, Vancouver, WA 98661.

Session 1: Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 5:30pm

Session 2: Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 9:30am

At the training, you will receive the volunteer shift you have been assigned to, receive your packet with information about volunteering for the event, as well as your volunteer t-shirt and admission ticket.

All Volunteers Receive:

     Event entry pass ($5 value) Independence Day T-shirt
  Parking pass ($10 value) Snacks & water at event
  Reusable water bottle Volunteer training session

Volunteer Duties

We need 400 volunteers to help with Independence Day at Fort Vancouver! Check out the volunteer job descriptions, and let us know if you can help at the event on Monday, July 4th!

     Gates/Admission

     Sell and scan tickets, assist vehicles, and hand out programs at one of the entry gates.

     Information Booth

     Greet visitors in our covered information booth, distribute programs, and give directions for event activities.images 1

     Shuttle Service Drivers

     Drive a golf cart to transport volunteers from the volunteer check-in area to their
     assigned location.

     Parking Lot Attendants

     Direct cars in the parking lot next to the prime viewing area.

     First-Aid Area

     Help event attendees with minor injuries (bruises, minor scrapes, sunburns)
     (Please note our sponsor AMR has medics and ambulances onsite for major injuries)

     Adult Beverage Pavillions

      ID checker or sales. Must be 21 years of age or older
